Lau Thuong Communal House Festival

The festival is held to commemorate the merits of four deities: Tan Vien Son Thanh from the Hung Kings era, the Trung Sisters, and Ly Hong Lien, who was honored for teaching and introducing mulberry cultivation and silkworm farming to the people.

On the morning of the 9th day of the first lunar month, a procession escorts the ceremonial officiant to the temple for a ritual offering. On the 10th and 11th days, traditional folk games such as cockfighting, wrestling, human chess, and swinging are organized. The festival concludes with a palanquin procession returning to the communal house and the spring-opening ceremony at the outer communal house of Lau Thuong, marking the beginning of a new working year.
