Tho Ha Communal House Festival

Date & Location
06:00 29/02 - 18:00 02/03.
Introduction
Ritual segment
The ritual segment is organized in a very solemn and well-structured manner. Among these, the procession is the highlight of the Tho Ha village festival. At that time, the hamlets within the village arrange a palanquin procession to the communal house, involving hundreds of young men and women, all dressed in elegant and vibrant attire.
The procession features the three deities of Fortune, Prosperity, and Longevity (Phúc - Lộc - Thọ), accompanied by the pair of Celestial Attendants, the Fairy Boy and Jade Maiden, all portrayed by villagers in costume. Leading the parade is a lion dance troupe, followed by the musicians playing a full set of traditional instruments — including horns, drums, two-string fiddles, and gongs — creating an extremely lively festival atmosphere filled with vivid colors and bustling sounds.
Following the three deities are four officials representing different military units: the Flag General, the Sword General, the Drum Major, and the Gong General. Behind them comes the procession of the Holy Palanquin and the Mother Palanquin, along with the altar and throne, accompanied by a troupe performing the Sinh Tiền dance.
