Date & Location
06:00 12/02 - 16:00 13/02.
Introduction
The Van Luong Temple Festival and the Bong-Snatching and Chai-Throwing Festival is a folk cultural performance that re-enacts the scene of the King and his court gathering to celebrate and extend New Year wishes with the villagers, as well as King Hùng and the villagers bidding farewell to Sơn Tinh as he returns to Tan Mountain, with rituals passed down through generations.
The Bong-Snatching and Chai-Throwing Festival is also one of the most unique and largest annual festivals for the local people. It bears a strong imprint of the Hung Kings' worship beliefs and the long-standing wet-rice agricultural civilization of the Vietnamese nation.
