What to expect
Day 1: Hanoi – Old Quarter – Hoan Kiem Lake – Temple of Literature (B,L,D)
Guests will be picked up at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi Railway Station, or bus stations from early morning to noon. After greeting the guide, the group will transfer to the hotel in the city center for check-in.
Guests can take some time to rest and refresh after the journey. Depending on arrival time, a light orientation walk around the hotel area may be arranged.
After lunch, the tour officially begins with a journey through Hanoi’s cultural highlights:
Hoan Kiem Lake & Ngoc Son Temple – Stroll around the iconic lake, cross the red-painted The Huc Bridge, and visit Ngoc Son Temple, a symbol of Hanoi’s spiritual heritage.
Hanoi Old Quarter – Explore the maze-like streets of the Old Quarter, also known as “36 ancient streets,” each named after traditional crafts and trades. Guests can enjoy the bustling atmosphere, street vendors, and French-colonial architecture.
Temple of Literature – Visit Vietnam’s first national university, founded in 1070, and learn about Confucian education traditions while walking through peaceful courtyards and ancient stone steles.
Dinner will be served at a local restaurant featuring Hanoi’s signature dishes, such as Bun Cha, Pho, or Cha Ca.
Guests are free to explore the city at night: stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, enjoy weekend night markets (if available), or experience Hanoi’s vibrant café scene.
Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Cruise – Sung Sot Cave – Kayaking (B,L,D)
Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Hanoi and depart for Halong Bay via the expressway. Upon arrival, they will board a 4–5-star cruise and check in to their cabins.
Guests can enjoy a seafood lunch on board while cruising past the iconic limestone islets and scenic landscapes of Halong Bay.
In the afternoon, the tour visits Sung Sot Cave, one of the largest and most impressive caves in the bay. Guests can explore calm lagoons by kayak or bamboo boat and enjoy swimming (weather permitting).
In the evening, guests can relax on the sundeck while watching the sunset. A Vietnamese cooking demonstration is available, followed by dinner served on board. Optional night activities include squid fishing or relaxing at the bar.
